"Find your purpose before you find a spouse. Get a life before you get a wife." - MrValue
In today's world the above statement just doesn't add up. Many seek to be in a relationship just for the fun of it while many others can't wait to get married. It's as if their whole life depends on it.
The lady waits anxiously for her knight in shining armor while the guy searches frantically for his Cinderella.
Both go in search of a life partner without having a life's vision.
No wonder they eventually end up stuck and feel wasted.
We have got the whole thing upside down.
Fulfilment in life does not hang on being with whoever makes you happy but it hinges on finding your life's purpose and living it.
Marriage was instituted by God to make purpose easier to accomplish. As Ecclesiastes reveals, "two are better than one". But the two are only better if they both agree.
This means that their must be compatibility of purpose, values and beliefs. This is what makes marriage lasting. Both partners must have the same vision and be committed to achieving it together.
So, just before you get into a relationship with someone, ask to know if you are both headed in the same direction.
