You Failed.... So what?

Hi there,

Many times most people get bogged down, by the many things they have done and failed at, this drains their drive, their zeal to do more. It makes them want to quit and not try again. It makes them believe less about themselves. Each time anyone encourages them to become more and be better. They remember those moments they have failed at some certain things in their lives and just tell themselves 'no, that's not me, I can't do that', they say things like 'I know myself and this is way beyond me, there is  no way  am gonna be able to make that possible.'

They let one event of failure judge their life. No! don't do that. You can't allow that to happen to you! Yes, I am aware that you've  failed and you are feeling bad about  it. Same applies too, to many who has failed too in some certain things in their life, it's not like you are the only one, no one likes failure also. So, get over it.

Yes I know, you had set a particular target, and then you missed it. You told yourself that you are going to quit that habit and yet you find yourself  engaging in it over and over again. You sat for a particular exam and then you failed, you were not amongst those selected for that particular job, because they told you that you weren't good enough. Now you are feeling so sorry for yourself. You feel like if I had known, maybe I wouldnt have even tried.

Well, I have got news for you, there is not anyone who has ever reached the pinnacle of success that hasn't had their own fair share of failure. But did they quit? ... Well you can answer that yourself. If they had quit, there is no way we would hear about their great success stories today.

So if you are considering quitting because you failed, it's necessary you consider what you are giving up. The fact that you failed, reveals that you tried and it also shows that you are pushing  yourself to become a better version of you. The failure helps you to know that, you haven't yet mastered the lesson, it reveals that you are doing something unusual and your body hasn't gotten used to it yet. But if you quit now, the better you, that you anticipated will never emerge.

Let's say, you are trying to cultivate a reading habit for instance and then, you told yourself that you would read atleast 5 pages of a book everyday and then you did it well for two days or maybe three days and then stopped.

That's great!

Appreciate the effort thus far, no matter how little, and then get up and get going. If you continue for long and refuse to quit, one day you will eventually master it and start reading more than you are doing today. But if you quit, you have already aborted that reality.

Same applies to every other thing you have done and failed at, don't stop, keep stretching and keep trying. _You are not a failure yet as long as you keep trying_ , and if you try harder enough, you will eventually hit your target.

Let me leave you with this quote by Robert Schuller, “I'd rather attempt to do something great and fail than to attempt to do nothing and succeed.”

Have an exciting day ahead
