Hi there,
Inasmuch as we have talked about the need to have dreams and not just any dream but big dreams. I will like to discuss today on the key trigger to the fulfilment of any dream. I call that faith.
Scripture defined Faith as the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.
That definition is so loaded with meaning, it means that it is not enough for you to just dream, you have got to believe it's possible before it can manifest. That belief is called confident assurance.
Now I want you to get me clearly, believing that your dream is possible doesn't mean that you have to start figuring out in your mind how it will play out. Most times when you do that, you might be discouraged at the outcome of that kind of analysis. Your present status might make you begin, to talk yourself out of its realization.
Les Brown shared a personal story in one of his talks, he said their was a point in his life when he told himself he was going to become a motivational speaker, speaking to large corporations, advising great people in business and also that he would be going from nations to nations motivating people to go after their dreams. He was inspired to have this kind of dream of himself after being at a seminar, where he was listening to how Dr Norman Vincent Pearl spoke and encouraged people. He really loved that and it stroke a cord within him. Then he told himself, I can do that too!
But according to him, here was the mistake he made. He started looking at his present state and he began to figure out in his mind how he could make that a reality, considering the odds that were against him. According to the reports of his colleagues at school and some folks who knew him, they always abused him because of his background. An adopted child whose biological parents can't be traced, barely surviving and also that he was an uneducated mentally retarded child.
Those reports made him to start doubting the reality of that dream, until he met a man who told him that "Someone's opinion of you does not have to become your reality".
That adjusted his perspective about life and he started believing again, that he is capable of becoming anything he dreams of becoming.
See where he is today.!
A successful motivational speaker, traveling all through the year from nations to nations, speaking to large corporations, companies and great business men and women, also encouraging people all over the globe to believe the best about themselves and go after their dreams. He is exactly where he projected himself to be.
If he can, who says you can't live your dreams too.
But for this to happen, you must believe in yourself and you must believe in that dream. Don't misjudge who you are now for the real you. You are not your failures, your disappointments, your setbacks, your weaknesses or what people has said about you. That's not you!
Your Manufacturer says you are a masterpiece of his creation. You are fearfully and wonderfully designed. You are not a photocopy, you are an original. There's just only you on the whole earth. That shows how very rare and expensive you are.
You have something special to give to the world, because according to the manufacturer, he handcrafted you to deliver a particular assignment to your generation. And if you don't do it, no one else can. Therefore believe that dream he has placed in your heart, because according to Napoleon hill "Whatever the mind can conceive and BELIEVE, it can achieve." The capacity to bring that dream to reality is inside you, but you must believe its their, before you can start seeing it.
Let me leave you this evening with a quote by Theodore Roosevelt "Believe you can and you are halfway there"
Glad you had fulfilling day.
