Are You Wasting Those Failures?

I know most people will wonder at the title of this article. They'll wonder is their any relevance to failure, it's as good as being gone. Most of us has had memories of many failed attempts and we don't want to remember it, we really wish we could just forget it. A large many have never attempted any big endeavor for the fear of failure, needless to say, many dreams go unfulfilled because of the fear of failure.

Well, have got news for you, for your success story to be complete, failure must be part of it. I could imagine many of us would shudder at that statement, you wonder this guy has got to be out of his mind.

Well, bitter as it may seem to be to you, it's the truth. Ask any successful person, they will tell you if they really want to be honest. Great men like Thomas Edison failed 1000 times before he finally fixed the light bulb, Abraham Lincoln failed about 8 times in many things in his life before he eventually became the president of united states, Henry Ford made a lot of failed attempts before he could finally get the correct model of car he wanted. Time would fail me to talk about Cobhams(a Nigerian Musician), Helen Keller, Albert Einstein and Peter J Daniels. All these individuals has had to fail several times on their journey to success.

But!

What kept this people going? considering their many failed attempts in life.

One thing!

They didn't waste their failures,

Every of their failures taught them something valuable, they never repeated the same mistakes twice. Their failure was their teacher, it taught them many things they wouldn't have learnt any other way. It taught them firstly, the wrong way to getting their desires and secondly, it taught them to keep thinking beyond their self imposed limitations, it taught them to grow, to think more bigger as Denzel Washington rightly said, "Ease is a greater threat to progress than hardship".

Friends, I can see you repeating the same mistakes you made, you are about getting into another relationship without learning from the past failed relationships, you are wasting your failures!
You want to start another line of business without first learning from the failures of the past businesses you have embarked on, you are wasting your failures!

And if you are someone that is just about embarking in something new, maybe starting a new career, or contemplating to begin a professional course or just the first business you have ever done or you are considering beginning a relationship, you want to experience the love and warmth of a partner and you are scared of failing.

I say to you, go ahead, go for it!

Even if you fail, learn from it and don't remain on the ground. Have a different attitude to failure, and you will eventually get to your desired haven.

Anthony Desalu,
Your Friend and Well Wisher.
